What about travelling?
In the beginning of May my country Poland will become a member of the European Union. We, the Polish people, are oncerned about advantages and disadvantages of this accession. It is certain that this is the only possible way to exist in the modern world. Most of us are aware of that fact. Poland is too weak to face all the problems societies have nowadays. We need allied countries which help us and show us how to become a strong, respectable and wealthy country. The situation in Poland is quite complex and complicated. Our government is not always able to adequately manage the difficulties we have with the health service system or social services.

In my opinion, being a member of the European Union is an enormous chance - particularly for young, well-educated, ambitious, broad- minded people.
At last exchange between universities will develop. We will be able to study and work abroad. I think that our level of education - in comparison to other European countries - is very high and we can be really proud. We will have the possibility of showing our skills to foreign employers. We hope to find interesting and well-paid job abroad.
Unemployment is one of the biggest problem in Poland. I hope that the membership can be at least a partial solution.
Lots of people work abroad illegally. That is very risky and irresponsible but for some of them that is the only way to make ends meet.
I think that joining the European Union will have quite a big influence on young peoples’ life, even if they are not going to go abroad. Those who will stay in Poland can expect some changes in our economy. We will get financial support. It will not be such vast amounts of money as some people may hope however it will be very helpful to receive funds for economical and agricultural development.
What about travelling? European intergration also means annulment of boarders and thanks to that travelling will be easier. If we join the union of currency someday our travelling will be really convenient. There will be no need to care about changing money before going abroad.
Working, studing, travelling will be helpful to develop knowledge, language skills and also will enable getting to know new cultures, traditions, customs and interesting people.
As far as I am concerned it is obvious that we must not only expect receiving. We should also try giving something to the other members of the European Union. I think that Poland is a country, which has very rich culture and tradition. We have a lot of marvellous monuments and masterpieces which are worth seeing. The Polish are open-minded, outgoing and reliable. I hope that Poles will be appreciated by employers from richer and wealthier European countries.
Most of the young people have a very enthusiastic attitude towards accessing European structures. We are looking forward to joinig however it will take a long time to notice distinct results and conseqences.
