Three of our students went to the prize award ceremonies of the TES Newsday in London for four days.

We (Dennis, Johannes and me) started our little trip on Thursday morning, when we went to Groningen airport and flew to Stansted Airport, London. The celebration took place on Friday morning. We dressed like we had seen it on the photos from our student groups, who had gone there before | like 2000 |. Our clothing looked really formal (like you see on the pictures below). We expected a nice celebration with formal clothes and some nice small talk with other groups. Different to our expectations it wasn't a real celebration with a presentation of each newspaper, but rather a short show to present the different student groups for some nice photographs.
Although the presentation was a real flop we had loads of fun in London. I personally think we looked like the typical tourists. Each of us with a backpack and two of us taking photos of just everything. On Saturday we did a sightseeing tour through London and saw almost everything, the city is famous for. The only bad thing was travelling back home. We had to get up at 5:15 am. Then we had to go to the airport in a warm and sticky bus after having had less sleep than a normal student needs to have. But we all would do this trip again.
